About Technica Ltd
Technica is an independent engineering and construction company solving complex challenges for the UK and international energy sectors. We deliver turnkey, multi-disciplinary projects — from design through to build — with control, confidence and care.
Our ‘Why’:
“Technica believe in long-term relationships. We want our clients to have total trust that we’ll deliver excellence in our solutions to their engineering problems.”
We’re entering a bold new chapter, underpinned by a 5-Year growth strategy that will see Technica evolve, expand and play a leading role in the energy transition. We’re looking for people who want to build something meaningful — for themselves, our clients, and our sector.
Why this role matters
We’re hiring a Project Manager to lead some of our most important engineering projects. But this is more than just delivery — it’s about how our clients experience working with Technica.
You’ll be the face of our values in action — building trusted relationships, guiding teams, and helping clients feel confident at every step.
This role is ideal for someone who:
• Thrives on ownership, creating direction and clarity in complex project environments, and building strong, long-term relationships
• Understands that delivering great work means delivering a great client experience
• Has the motivation to step into a new sector and the curiosity to grow with support
As a member of our Extended Leadership Team (ELT), you’ll also help shape how we deliver our 5-Year strategy and influence how Technica grows.
You don’t need deep experience in Electrical, Controls & Instrumentation (EC&I) or the energy sector to succeed here.
You’ll work alongside some of the industry’s most experienced and respected Senior Engineers who provide subject matter expertise. What we need is a Project Manager who earns trust, listens well, communicates clearly, and helps clients feel in safe hands. If your experience is transferable — and your mindset is proactive — we’ll support you to gain any technical knowledge you need.
How you’ll lead
You’ll be accountable for the end-to-end delivery of engineering projects — from scope through to sign-off — ensuring everything is aligned with what success means for the client.
You’ll:
• Lead internal and external teams to deliver high-impact engineering solutions
• Build and maintain open, trust-based client relationships
• Manage cost, programme, and resource planning with visibility and rigour
• Run client progress meetings and provide clear, confident updates
• Apply commercial awareness to NEC contracts and supplier coordination
• Ensure alignment with CDM regulations and ISO standards
• Foster a team culture of accountability, support and pride in delivery
What you’ll bring
Essentials:
- 5+ years managing engineering, construction, or infrastructure projects
- Commercial acumen (ideally with NEC contracts)
- Experience working under CDM regulations
- Familiarity with QHSE systems and structured project reporting
Desirables:
- NEBOSH Managing Safely or other H&S qualification
- PRINCE2, Agile or other recognised PM methods
- Knowledge of energy sector project delivery
- Understanding of electrical, controls or instrumentation systems
What you’ll get
- £69,000–£88,000 salary, based on experience
• 25 days holiday + bank holidays
• Private healthcare (plus family options)
• Company pension
• Death in Service & Critical Illness cover
• Work from anywhere in the UK (just 2 days/month in Head Office). We’re open to flexible, hybrid, and even part-time working arrangements — let’s talk about what works for you.
• Recognition scheme & genuine commitment to your development
Ready to lead with trust?
This isn’t just another PM job. It’s your chance to deliver real value and build relationships that last — with clients and colleagues alike.
