TECHNICA WIN CONTRACT TO SUPPORT CENTRICA AT EASINGTON TERMINAL

Having announced a restructuring of their leadership team in early June, Technica have wasted no time in securing a contract win for the provision of service and maintenance support.

From 1 July 2021, Technica will provide all maintenance services for the fiscal metering and instrumentation on behalf of Centrica at Easington Terminal.  The contract was awarded following a competitive process and will last for an initial two-year period.  It has created three additional roles within the rapidly growing business and will see two of these roles permanently based at the East Riding of Yorkshire site.

Speaking of the contract win, the new Managing Director of Technica, Richard Law said “This represents our first significant service and maintenance contract win as a business and we are very pleased Centrica have awarded it to Technica.  Work such as this forms part of our current business plan and we are hopeful that it will be closely followed by similar contracts from other clients”.

Owner and Chairman at Technica, John Davison stated “This contract is further demonstration of our ability to support the many energy and industrial clients on the Humber Bank and further afield.  It represents our willingness to provide cost effective engineering services to our clients, as well as strengthening and diversifying our capabilities”.

Alongside the new capability to undertake maintenance and verification works in relation to fiscal metering and analysis systems, Technica has the capability to design, fabricate, install and commission a large range of metering skids ranging in size from 2” up to 48” in diameter as well as the design and build of flow computer racks and analysis systems.

Formed in 2003, Technica (www.technicaltd.com) has developed a reputation for the successful delivery of complex electrical, control, instrumentation, mechanical and process engineering solutions.  Having the ability to produce in-house multi-disciplinary designs and then deliver these as  turn-key projects has allowed Technica to gain expertise in electro-mechanical, instrumentation and automation projects for the international energy, green energy, petrochemical, industrial, maritime and infrastructure sectors.

They are also able to provide EPC, EPCM and consultancy services to clients and have extensive experience in the successful delivery of CDM projects as both Principal Designer and Principal Contractor.
