TECHNICA AWARDED METERING CONTRACT WITH SGN
Technica have started the new year on a positive note having been awarded a contract to support SGN with the replacement of obsolete metering equipment at one of their key sites in Dorset.
The contract calls for the provision of a new fiscal metering system including the flow computer rack and Flow Weighted Average Calorific Value (FWACV) analysis system. The design works for the project will commence within the next few weeks and then the system will be built, factory acceptance tested and then delivered to client by the end of 2023.
The provision of this equipment follows on from a significant number of similar contracts delivered for SGN and other independent gas distribution networks as well as for an independent client over the last few years. It also reaffirms the expertise of Technica and establishes them as one of the most experienced providers of FWACV metering systems within the UK over the past 5 years.
Commenting on their success, Managing Director of Technica, Richard Law said “I am pleased that SGN have chosen Technica to provide this equipment and support their project in their southern region”. He continued “having delivered similar systems for them in the past, we are delighted that they recognise our expertise, the positive relationships we have with our key suppliers and our ability to deliver a successful outcome for them in relation to this particular site”.
SGN is one of the largest gas network operators within the UK, providing gas to over 5.9 million homes and businesses across Scotland and the south of England. For more information please see their website www.sgn.co.uk.
