We’re hiring a Workshop Coordinator to ensure the smooth operation of our panel build and FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing) workshop.

This role isn’t just about managing materials — it’s about creating an organised, safe environment where our engineering teams can perform at their best.

You’ll be the kind of person who:

  • Builds strong relationships with project, procurement, and engineering teams
  • Keeps processes running efficiently with excellent control of stock and documentation
  • Looks for opportunities to improve workflow, layout, and performance

How you’ll Contribute

You’ll coordinate the day-to-day running of our busy workshop — supporting panel builds, FAT testing, and ensuring reliable delivery for clients.

  • Manage daily workshop operations to maintain high standards of quality, organisation, and safety
  • Assist with deliveries, goods in/out, and coordination of materials
  • Maintain accurate inventory records of tools, equipment, and materials
  • Create and update spreadsheets and documentation — with particular focus on Cyber Projects
  • Liaise with procurement and project teams to ensure timely availability of components
  • Support wider operations and engineering teams with workshop tasks
  • Contribute ideas toward improving workshop layout and future development
  • Report to the Construction Interface Manager and work closely with Procurement

What you’ll bring

Essentials:

  • Proven experience in workshop coordination, assembly, or production support
  • Knowledge of electrical and mechanical components used in panel builds and junction boxes
  • Strong organisational and multitasking skills
  • Proficiency with Excel and digital record-keeping
  • Understanding of FAT testing processes and quality control Effective communication skills and a collaborative approach

Desirables:

  • Experience in the gas network or utilities sector
  • Exposure to workshop efficiency or process-improvement initiatives

We’re hiring an Electrical Supervisor to play a vital role in delivering some of our most critical engineering projects. But this isn’t just about overseeing electrical work, it’s about how our teams operate, how our sites run safely and efficiently, and how our clients experience working with Technica.

You’ll be a key presence on site — bringing clarity, consistency, and confidence to complex technical environments, and making sure our standards are not only met, but lived every day.

  • Leads from the front — taking ownership, solving problems, and setting the tone for safety, quality, and teamwork
  • Knows that exceptional delivery depends on strong communication and trusted relationships — with clients, contractors, and colleagues
  • Mentors and develops others — sharing knowledge, building confidence, and helping individuals grow in their roles.

How you’ll lead

You’ll be accountable for the installation of electrical and instrumentation systems across a range of industrial sites — ensuring everything is aligned with what success means for the client.

You will:

  • Supervise site and team members
  • Fault find and repair electrical instrumentation systems
  • Test installations
  • Interpret engineer drawings, schedules, and vendor specifications
  • Liaise with clients, contractors and appropriate authorities
  • ‘Red pen’ construction drawings and documentation
  • Lead a team or work as part of a larger team to ensure work is completed on time and to Technica quality standards
  • Adhere to client regulations and standards
  • Be an ambassador for our company
  • Ensure Technica values and standards are maintained

 

What you’ll bring

Essentials:

  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
  • Recognised professional qualification in electrical Installation – NVQ Level 3 C&G or equivalent
  • At least 5 years’ experience in industrial installation
  • Full UK driving license
  • Be prepared to work away from home for up to 80% of the year
  • Ability to think on your feet and be self-motivated to deliver excellent service

  • City and Guilds 2391
  • CompEx EX01-04
  • SSSTS
  • IOSHH
  • Experience in panel building/modifications
  • Instrumentation installation experience
  • Familiarity with working in Oil, Gas, Petrochemical or Industrial installations
  • SCO91 and / or SCO1/2
  • At least 2 years’ experience in a supervisory or similar role

What you’ll get

  • Up to £25.16
  • Overtime paid at time and a half after 38 hours including travel time
  • Saturdays: First 5 hours at time and a half, double time thereafter
  • Sundays: Double time
  • Daily subsistence provided
  • Transport to & from site (from Grimsby Head Office)
