New Entrant Careers
New Entrant Careers
Whilst we are always looking for skilled and experienced engineers and technicians, we understand that it is fundamentally important to grow and develop our own people. We have entrance pathways for school and college leavers as well as graduates with an interest in engineering.
As a new entrant, we will provide you with the necessary support, training and mentoring to ensure that you are able to develop your skills, knowledge and experience and kick start what will be an exciting and rewarding career.
Work Experience Opportunities
Work experience gives young people a better insight into the working environment in industries that they’re interested in. Experience within the workplace can help to inform these individuals on their prospective career decisions and at Technica we can offer students a positive and encouraging environment to develop their knowledge on the Engineering industry.
Within our company we believe that young people should have the opportunity to access the range of skills that a workplace can provide including hard skills such as training and mentoring and soft skills including communication and problem solving.
T-Level/A-Level Placements
T-Level placements are a new Level 3 Qualification across a 2 year duration for 16-19 year olds. This new qualification helps young people develop the skills they need to progress into employment, an apprenticeship or further education whilst developing personal skills. T-Level students complete an industry placement to cover an experience in a workplace environment.
Technica believe that supporting local young people only helps to improve the industry’s future and the development of prospective future engineers, technicians, and designers.
Apprenticeships
At Technica we understand the importance of developing young people in the industry and one of the most common routes for school/college leavers to take is an apprenticeship.
Over the 17 years that Technica has been servicing the Oil & Gas industry, we have seen the successful development of many apprentices through our technical departments. Apprentices have reached many different levels of personal and professional growth by expanding their knowledge through development and training.
You will gain qualifications and skills to begin your pathway into your chosen career whilst earning and not having the fees commonly associated with further education. If you have interest in practical hands on work and want to earn whilst you learn then an apprenticeship is the perfect pathway for you.
Graduate Career Opportunities
A graduate scheme allows students who have progressed through University post-degree to gain experience of a company with the Engineering industry. Graduates at Technica will further develop their knowledge and skills of the engineering industry whilst providing new ideas and insight to us as a company. A student who studied Engineering would begin a career with Technica as a Graduate Engineer and after 2-4 years could potentially progress to a fully qualified Engineer.
We are frequently looking for new members to join our ever expanding team. If you believe you would be suited to any of our vacancies or would like further information about roles that we have available, please contact recruitment@technicaltd.com
