Technica’s Jen Atkin “Jeans For Genes” Success
Technica’s charity champion, Jen Atkin has been hard at work again orgainising charity activities at Technica. Earlier this year Jen organised the Jeans for Genes day (a charity that supports research into genetic disorders) and had a great response raising £80 for this charity.
Jen is pictured with another of her charity events; the Macmillan coffee morning, staff were treated to a range of delicious home made cakes to go with their morning coffee. This raised an amazing £90 for the charity.
Not content with her success so far, Jen has the Christmas Jumper day in her sights and furthermore this year’s Technica annual Christmas dinner is going to feature a charity auction in aid of a local Grimsby charity, Harbour Place. Jen commented “ Harbour Place is a local Grimsby charity that supports a wide range of socially excluded groups including the homeless. The real meaning of Christmas can get lost amongst all the bustle and it is important to remember that for some people life can be very tough. Hopefully we will raise some money that can help in some small way.”
