TECHNICA CHOSEN TO UNDERTAKE NEXT PHASE OF GAS COMPRESSOR STATION UPGRADE PROJECT FOR NATIONAL GRID
Grimsby based Engineering Solutions Provider, Technica were celebrating a further contract win from the UK natural gas transmission operator National Grid.
The project, at Aberdeen Compressor Station was awarded as an ‘opt-in’ clause to a previous contract, awarded to Technica in April 2020, and follows the successful delivery of a site wide conceptual design for the upgrade of this essential compressor station throughout 2020 and early 2021.
The latest phase requires Technica to provide detailed design, supply, installation and commissioning works for Compressor Control and Protection Systems, Fire and Gas, SCADA, UPS, Telemetry and integration into existing Metering, Gas Quality and Motor Control Centres across all three compressors and the station systems.
